If this list was chronological, React would be listed second since it is almost three years younger than its competitor. The story of this open source JS library began in 2013 with a team of Facebook engineers. On that account, versatile in-house products including WhatsApp and Instagram are built with it. At the same time, the name of ReactJS is also applied to Netflix, Dropbox, Airbnb and many other famous web applications. And now some bullet points to describe the technology:

  • It is a library for building user interfaces.

A bidirectional option, aka two-way data binding, stipulates the modification of both the view and model due to the integration of properties and events.

What do we have with React? It is associated with the one-way data binding where the properties go down from parent to child components. Prior to being converted into the property of the child component, a component state remains inaccessible to other components, i.e. encapsulated.
