But not with Railsware ;)

In our team, we don’t focus on separate tasks but care about the final result of projects. We do what makes sense. Every Railswarian takes responsibility for a small or large project, researches the best way to implement it, consults other team members, acquires necessary skills and knowledge, and gets the job done without reference to specific technologies or tools. This is what we call an inspiring career and a true craft.

Onboarding Flow

The trial period will help you get a better sense of our craft, company culture, work attitude and approaches. You can compare your previous experience to what we built here and feel all the benefits that the team offers. We created a smooth onboarding process to help you adapt faster and tune your work for long-term cooperation.

Getting to Know More About RW

During the first three months at the company, you’ll be receiving the necessary information through different channels, such as live meetings, video, guides, etc. We split all the information and portion it to allow you both learn how the company operates and work at the same time.

Pair Work with Colleagues and Coordinator

At Railsware, we work in pairs a lot. Pair sessions will help you understand the products and techniques we use and feel the company’s culture. As a newcomer, you’ll have a Coordinator to support you along the way. With this person you will cooperate the most.

Feedback Sessions

During the trial, we have at least three Feedback sessions after the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd month. We can have more sessions, if there’s a need to discuss something. The sessions are designed to let you share your input about yourself and the company and get feedback from people who work with you the most. In particular, we appreciate a fresh look at different processes you are engaged in that we can use to improve our inner processes and make our onboarding process even better.

The End of the Trial

When the time comes to the end of the first three months, we share a decision about passing the trial. If the trial is passed successfully, you’ll have a meeting with the People Team to discuss your further development path.

Professional Growth

Railsware has gathered a community of professionals from all over the world and created an environment for constant growth. Every Railswarian shares responsibilities for the things we do as well as the success and profit we make. Here’s how we established a constant growth cycle at Railsware.

Individual Development Process

The Individual Development Process (IDP) usually starts 1-3 months after passing the trial. IDP is a place to discuss in which areas you would like to grow during the next year and help you draw a structured plan with well-defined deliverables and goals.

Constant Feedback Sharing

From now on, you’ll participate in many feedback sessions where you can share your thoughts on your cooperation with teammates. Apart from that, you may share your opinion about the company or peers on Retro meetings, IDP review syncs, and one-on-one calls with coordinators or People Team.

Compensation Review and Bonuses

The compensation review process is based on an evaluation of a Railswarian’s contribution to the company’s growth and development. The review includes comprehensive performance assessment and team’s feedback gathering that result in a remuneration review, bonus, or another reward.

Blog post: Culture of constant development

                Blog post: T-shaped Skills

Every job gets boring over time.
